Then what happened, Grandad?
Eva woke just once after I'd gone to bed again, at just after 1am. She did take til about 2 to settle back down, but then slept til 8am, so again it was lovely to get 6 hours sleep straight through.
For breakfast, Eva pretty much polished off her toast and a whole plum! That was after a big milk feed. Then this afternoon, for dinner, she had her roast dinner, including a roast potato cut in half, and again ate most of it! Making quite a few "mmmmm" noises. Yayyyyy! By George, I think she's got it! Also, when I went to give her a teething powder this afternoon, I lay her on her changing table, as was changing her nappy aswell, and usually I have to try and pour the powder in bit by bit, but today I made the lip smacking noise to her that she makes when she's eating (it's very cute), went towards her mouth with the powder making the noise, and she opened her little mouth wide enough for me to easily pour it in in one go, bless her! Like she knew what I meant!
I made Eva a mix tape this afternoon. It was such fun. When I say mix tape, when I was little I had an album that I loved called All Aboard, which you struggle to get nowadays. Anyway, I downloaded all the songs I could remember from it, and Mike is going to create a cd for us for in the car. It includes classics such as A Windmill In Old Amsterdam, My Boomerang Won't come Back and Ernie (The Fastest Milkman In The West). I can just imagine the 2 of us singing our little hearts out as she gets older and hope she loves it just as much as I always did. I added a few extras such as Gilly Gilly Ossenfeffer Katzenellenbogen By The Sea, I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing, and Que Sera Sera. Am very excited.
My dad arrived then for a coffee and a catch up, and brought some stuff from his Open University course to look at. Omg it looks so hard! We had a little reminisce about my All Aboard album, and he made a huge fuss of Eva, as he always does. I took this pic today as they were deep in conversation. Awwwww.
Mike sat with Eva watching Disney's Jungle Book then whilst I prepared Sunday dinner. I couldn't resist the urge to barge back in during Colonal Hathi's March, to do my best marching round the lounge, and to grab Eva to dance with her to Bare Necessities. Think they both think I'm nuts lol. Eva's first Disney film, although they only got to the start of I'm The King Of The Swingers as dinner was ready. Xxx
