Masai Mara - lions, lions everywhere!

We left camp at 7.30am and on arriving at the first stop saw lions with a kill on one side and a very cute couple on the other side of our jeep. The cute couple had a jackal in tow which was clearly trying to edge nearer to the kill but just succeeded in being a gooseberry!

During the rest of the day driving around we saw
Elephants, cheetahs, serval cats, lions and more lions.. ( a few in this collage but lot's more on my FB page) hippos, crocodiles, hyena, giraffes, zebras, some tardy wildebeest migrating, hartebeest and ostriches.

Back to our camp where there was a major thunderstorm that raged throughout dinner, we managed to race back to bed during a brief break in the downpour!
