Fried Chicken
Our two-wheels brought us south of the island this weekend. Along the way we stopped at a tiny "carinderia" (local food shop) and had the best fried chicken I have had in a long while. No fancy crumb coats or 21 secret spices but just fresh chicken marinated in salt and pepper and deep fried the old fashioned way in a vat of oil over a flaming wood fire.
