A Midsummer Nights Dream

Went to see A Midsummer Nights Dream at the Noel Coward Theatre. It was a-maze-ing!!!!

We had such a fantastic night! Dinner beforehand which was lovely, then the fantastic play. It was so good! Sheridan Smith was playing Titania (and Hippolita) and she was brilliant. David Walliams was Bottom and he was hilarious. I thought I would enjoy it but it was way beyond my expectations. Funny, magical, romantic, sweet..... The sets were fantastic and the costumes beautiful. The fairies were sort of modern new-age hippies with dreadlocks, sunglasses, tutus and bandanas, but in a beautiful, muted, disheveled, slightly decaying style. Fabulous!

A late night for the children but they loved the play so it was worth it. After the show they got to have a picture with the actors who played Hermia and Gillyvor.
