Floating markets

Another trip out of Bangkok. This time to the oldest and largest floating market; the name of which escapes me. It is a little touristy now (as you'd expect) but there are still Thai's there buying fruit, vegetables and spices. For my part I bought a large wooden carving which is rather heavy!

After the markets we went on a long-boat ride, which once we'd got out of the bit where all the tourists go was incredible - very traditional wooden houses on stilts etc. 40 minutes later we disembarked at a temple and, having had a look inside, picked up our bikes for a 28km cycle through the coconut, banana, tiger fruit and pomegranate plantations.
