The Best Laid Plans!

So instead of a lovely evening out with friends (child free) we spent the night trying to get Grant to calm down after he woke from a late nap in a horrendous mood. I've never seen him so upset, my usually laid back toddler :( There was nothing Kevin or I could do apart from passing him to each other and consoling him the best we could. Kevin's Mum and sister (who had arrived earlier to babysit) faces were a picture! Think they were hoping and praying that we wouldn't leave Grant with them lol. Obviously we couldn't. Really don't know what could have been wrong. Was wondering whether his sugar level was too low after his unusually long nap since after we finally managed to get him to take food he perked up again.
Oh well I settled for a cup of tea and some of the kids Halloween sweets instead :(
