"And it rained"

The weather was foul this morning. My brother was being moved to a local hospital for rehab to get him walking !! How absurd as all they had done in the hospital he was in was mask the pain and keep telling him that the ward he was on was for poorly people and he shouldnt be there. He had had a dreadful stay there and for most of the time has been doped on high doses of morphine. Its a sad reflection of how much of a mess our NHS is in and how politicians don't see this as they dont ever experience the lack of TLC or funds first hand. Things were set in motion and my sister in law was horrified that they would consider moving him and voiced her concerns.

Within a short time she received another call he was being moved to another Hospital as they had a bed (she had arranged it herself by liaising with the hospital) and by mid afternoon he had been moved, seen, his MRI scan studied and he is listed for surgery early next week or before. Serious problems with 4 vertebrae and a collapsed disc that is so badly damaged they are amazed he has any feeling in either leg. They are appalled at the treatment he has endured and hopefully will try to get his operation done as soon as they can.
