Riding the wave
Recovering from last night, today was a lazy day with half of it spent in bed for a much needed rest. Lunch at the Bank House Café , and one of the best Vegetable Lasagne's I've had out, followed by a stroll down to the seafront to stretch our legs, get some fresh air and hopefully get some good pics.
We'd had storm warnings for this evening, so we were hoping for some big waves. We weren't disappointed. We managed to get lots of shots of the storm, and this brave chap was making the most of the freak weather.
An hour before high tide and the sea was already crashing up over onto the car park and the seafront café was preparing to shut up early, placing sandbags against the doors to try to prevent the sea from getting in - in vain I fear.
Home to warm up in a bath run by Mr Lovely with a glass of wine and candles and now to snuggle up on the sofa under a cozy blanket, eating hot buttered toasted fruit bread and watching rubbish TV - well, when Mr Lovely has finished editing his pics that is! ;-)
Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.
