A mere folly
We ventured to Mow Cop today.
I grew up being able to see this folly on top of the hillside and looking along from it to Bosley and "Cloud End". It was part of our landscape, and yet, until today, I had never actually visited it.
Despite changing weather conditions - sunshine, rain, gale force gusts of wind - it was well worth it for the spectacular views across the Cheshire plains and across also into Staffordshire. The light was fantastic, so rapidly changing and with the sun lower in the sky now we are into a well established Autumn, it was beautiful.
