Paris By Night
An excellent last full day in Paris. Lunch in the café from the film Amelie, followed by an afternoon wandering around Montmartre, which was very pleasant indeed -- nice artsy-craftsy bohemian vibe to the place, didn't feel like we were in a capital city at all. Also, it's the top of a hill so really good views of the city below.
But the best views were from La Tour Montparnasse, with the highest roof terrace in Paris and magnificent 360º views over the whole city. We went up the 59 floors at just the right time, as dusk turned to night and the Eiffel Tower was lit up for its hourly light show. Fantastic. Now off to dinner one more time. 22 years ago today I met Ann, so we've something to celebrate (any excuse...)
