I came across something quite interesting today...

The phrase 'it's raining cats and dogs' has many versions in lots of languages.

A few of my favourite:

Brazil - "It's raining frogs' beards"
Greece: - "It's raining chair legs."
South Africa and Namibia: - "It's raining old women with clubs."

Here is proof I haven't made all this up!
