This allegation is discreetly proclaimed in one of the old pillboxes in Cayton Bay. I'm frequently surprised at the vast range of subjects on Wikipedia, which includes "British hardened field defences of World War II". These are defined as "small fortified structures constructed as a part of British anti-invasion preparations. They were popularly known as pillboxes by reference to their shape."
