To Stirling to do a wee gig for Adoption UK, a cause naturally close to my heart. With Adoption Week starting on Monday, please pause to consider all those older children, the 'hard to place'. Don't even think of adopting one unless you are prepared to let all that pain they experience into your life, prepared to have your heart ripped out, put through a mangle and given back to you. I don't think I'd advise anyone to adopt - but I'm jolly glad I did. Thanks, Gordon, for the great privilege of being your Mum.
