Jigsaw Gets A Treat
I had another busy day family-wise and photographically. Our two younger sons and partners came over from Nelson to spend the weekend with us. They bought especially baked home cooking to celebrate Keith’s birthday. During the afternoon the younger generation went for a long mountain bike ride on the Wither Hills Farm Park tracks.
Come 5.pm Rachel, my photographer friend, and I arrived at Meadowbank for the 100 years Celebration Cocktail Party. This was held outdoors in the lovely grounds surrounding the Meadowbank homestead. It was great fun even though Rachel and I were kept busy with our cameras. We were the “official” photographers for the Centennial celebrations. It was so good working together for this event. We are great friends and often go away together for photographic weekends and courses. But we had not spent time doing “people photography” together. However we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere at Meadowbank and capturing family groups was a lot of fun. Now comes the hard work of processing our images through Lightroom and then getting them back to the Grigg families.
Today’s blip is of a young lad giving “Jigsaw”, the Meadowbank pony a treat of some nice long juicy green grass. Jigsaw proved to be very nosy and got to be a bit of a nuisance sticking his head through the railings and getting into frame of images of some family groups. So it was good to have someone distracting him by making a special fuss of him.
