Nate, Katie, and Kinfolk

I introduced you to Kinfolk magazine and the ensuing Kinfolk Table cookbook a couple of weeks ago. Here are the brainchildren of it all, husband and wife Nate Williams and Katie Searle-Williams, my former student. We had a very enjoyable lunch, catching up on the old scene and learning their inspiration for their work. What a beautiful day.

I've had so many success stories with my former students, but Katie's is one of my favorites. These two are clearly living their vision and dream. I always knew Katie would breathe life into this world. It's so cool that she and Nate are doing it together.
