Redundant running shoes

Too wet to run today. However I have been to the ballet this evening and felt quite exhausted at the end just watching the wonderful dancing of Sleeping Beauty. Such a pity though that 5 girls sitting next to me used their phones to text quite often during the performance and a woman's phone actually went off just in front of me! Why must people have phones permanently attached to themselves at all times!!!!
