Deepawali or Diwali, a five-day festival also known as the Festival of Lights, is the most important holyday of the year in Hinduism, Jainism, and Sikhism and is usually celebrated by families in their homes by performing traditional activities together. It is widely celebrated in many countries, especially in India and Nepal, signifying the victory of good over evil and light over darkness.
