And another one bites the dust....
Let me just make it clear before I start that there will be no Queen music as part of this blip. Actually, I saw Queen once after Freddie's demise with Paul Rogers as the lead singer. I don't mind him but if I have something against performers (even rock stars) turning up in a vest. Not just a vest, I hasten to add. There were jeans etc... It always reminds me of dad getting ready for work having a wet shave in the bathroom singing tunelessly gazing into a steamed up mirror scraping away. So, please do not sing at me while wearing a vest.
Where was I? Oh yes, nowhere at all really. I found a dead wasp on the kitchen windowsill earlier. I find one every day here! How very odd!
Quiet day again work wise. Half term week back in England means that half the office staff are off for at least part of the week. I was actually back on dratted Discoverer reports today but got a good crack on with several amendments before my stomach growled at me and I decided to go wild and make myself scrambled eggs. I know I always have that most days in Brum but there I have an electric cooker. I am not used to gas! I hate that hiss here when you twiddle the knob and then you have to work out how to get it to light before the kitchen explodes. Anyway, I managed it. I'll just make do with toast in future as it's less stressful!
The doorbell sounded a bit later. I peered cautiously out of the window but couldn't see anyone so shrugged and sat down at my laptop again. Mom got back from mass straight after that and as soon as she got in she asked me why I hadn't answered the doorbell. It wasn't her ringing it but she had seen a lady walking away from the house and had asked her what she wanted. Apparently, the lady had been looking for a house in a street around the corner. Mom said 'You should have answered the door! Halloween Night is over!' I told her I only ever answered the door if I was expecting someone. Mom now thinks I'm weird and wonders where she got me from. I didn't remind her about how I used to have to give her about a week's notice if I wanted to bring a school pal round to play!
Nothing else to report today. I had a chat with Stayahead Nigel who calls himself Hamish sometimes as he thinks that might amuse me with my Scottish leanings and then I had an email chat with Shauqat who thought I was on leave today. That made me wish I had been off today as I could have gone out for an early blip for a change. Oh well.... As it is, today's shot is a late one again taken out of the top window as I was too lazy to go out and my get up and go had well and truly got up and gone.
