Great swimming lesson this morning, starting to get more confident. Worked on body position, trying to stay long and straight. Moved onto arm technique, splash free entry for the fingers, forearm into position and then apply the force (not leaving the wrist trailing). It's a lot to remember, but the key is the 5 S's - streamlined, straight, smooth, synchronised and the other one that escapes me! So lots more to practice whilst keeping on progressing with the other skills. Reminds me of learning to drive, lots of coordinated movements building up into a whole picture - practicing until it all clicks together.
Different musical genre today, smooth modern soul usually leaves me cold, but this track by Kwabs has a bit of magic about it. If you find James Blake a bit of a bet wetter, this treads similar paths, but with a lot more soul and energy.
