Baking Day

Today I finally managed to get around to making two cakes in preparation for Florence's christening at the end of November.

It has been a murky, rainy day so perfect for getting warm and cosy in the kitchen. I even managed to put some of the Brandy in the cakes!

It's now just a waiting game to see if they've risen or if I have a sunken middle... I am not supposed to open the oven for at least. 4 hours so fingers crossed ! ....
