Way too quiet!

They left this morning and the house felt empty. No children, no dogs. And way too quiet!! We’ve had a lovely week though.

This afternoon we walked along Ullswater shoreline and were surprised to find how high the water level was. There were trees in the lake that shouldn’t have been in the lake and the path close to the edge was mostly underwater.

It has been a lovely day and here is the view across the lake toward the Lakeland hills, just as the sun came out from behind the clouds
