Eyeballs Anyone?
For our Friday night activities, we had a Halloween/Costume/Fear Factor Party.
The snacks for the night, including the Jack-O-Oranges from yesterday and these deviled eye eggs, were a hit.
Fear Factor (based on the TV show) got lots of laughs (and a few gags). In teams, we sent up a volunteer for each challenge, but we didn't know what the challenge would be. Some people had to catch live eels from one bucket and put them in another bucket while wearing a blindfold. Other people had to shoot fried anchovies out of their mouths to hit a target on the floor. Another set of volunteers had to eat a 100 year old egg. And that's just the beginning. Our night's schemers came up with lots of other funny/yucky/silly/scary challenges for us.
The costumes were super creative too. We had a pair of minions show up from Despicable Me, two old Thai grannies, Mr. Incredible, Batman, Robin, and the Joker, Cats, vampires, and lots of other visitors.
The walking clothes line, complete with drying shirts, pants, shorts, and socks, won the night's prize for funniest costume. That just happened to be me. Only when you are very desperate the night before a costume party and searching around your house for something that can become a costume do you come up with something as ridiculous as that. But everybody loved it. :)
