The artist at work

Amelia wants to be an artist, it's her favourite subject at school, and her favourite way to entertain herself when she is at home. She was bored this afternoon so we put wallpaper on her bedroom wall and I left her to it, except for sneaking this photo.

Just as I was beginning to despair of what to do with a bored and slightly hyperactive Ben, his best friend rang inviting him round there to play for the day: his mum is a teacher too, and needed someone to entertain her son while she worked - perfect! So I got to work too, and have done loads. Marc has spent the day installing our lovely new oak worktops, they look fab. A good, productive day.
