Flowers For Sale

After yesterday's mostly white photo I went to the Dia de los Muertos market looking for something more colorful. There are so many possibilities in the days prior to this very special holiday that I had a hard time choosing just one image to show. This image won out because of the contrast between the brilliant flowers and subdued plastic crates. I tried it both vertically and horizontally. This vertical composition excluded most of the extraneous details in the setting and concentrated the eye on what I consider the most important elements. Perhaps tomorrow the tribute alters, using these very flowers, will be up and ready to be photographed. It is a great time to be photographer in Mexico!
