Samhain Festival Fire

There is something primordial and sacred about the bonfire that draws out the heathen in us....These days, in an all consuming pc world usually the best place to find the best bonfire is in the council estates areas of our towns where gangs of alcohol swigging youths stand ready to repel the enemy, the fire brigade and police...At this particular fire the police always arrive with understanding rather than batons because they prefer to loiter themselves with a can and win the minds of those for turning...... There is sometimes trouble there but I'm relatively safe because they have respect for those I choose to stand with....just saying...
