Edinburgh just keeps on giving!

I don't think this event is advertised as such, but I'm so glad Dave found out about it online. We had a brilliant morning! Its the Edinburgh Rising of the Marches, an old tradition revived for the first time since 1946.

250 horses marched through Edinburgh - that's a lot of horses! All those hooves on the cobbled streets sounded great! I don't know much about horses - I'm not such if they appreciate walking on cobbles?! But everyone seemed to be in high spirits and the march was well received by the locals (and a few confused tourists).

Off to see the end of festival fireworks tonight... should probably get a wriggle on if we're going to make it in time.
