The Field of Remembrance has been laid out next to the Scott Monument in preparation for Remembrance Sunday. It will continue to grow as people donate and plant their crosses.

Poppyscotland runs the Scottish Poppy appeal and is the leading charity supporting ex-servicemen and their families in Scotland. It raises over £2 million each year and combined with their year-round fundraising provides financial assistance to thousands of ex-Servicemen and women as well as helping to fund specialist services such as long term care, housing and employment.

Established in 1921 as the Earl Haig Fund Scotland it adopted its current name and logo in 2006, reflecting the revision of their fundraising activities and charitable services work. They merged with The Royal British Legion which operates throughout England, Wales and Northern Ireland in 2011 to form the largest charity group supporting the Armed Forces community across the whole of the UK. Poppyscotland continues to operate as a distinct charity within the TRBL group of charities and relies entirely on public donations to allow it to continue their life-changing work.
