The Recce Crew...
Some of the Absent Voices artists inside the sugar sheds at James Watt Dock in Greenock.
From left to right in the foreground; Alan Carlisle, Alec Galloway (head down...), Kevin McDermott and snapping on her smart phone, Yvonne Lyon.
BIG congratulations to Alec Galloway, who discovered today his sugar shed-inspired painting, Under Titan's Gaze, which we Blipped last week (http://www.blipfoto.com/entry/3588576) has been selected for the Royal Glasgow Institute's annual exhibition.
The exhibition is being held this year at the McLellan Galleries in Glasgow for the first time in many years. It should be well worth visiting.
No doubt many wealthy sugar barons of the late 19th century bought many a painting at this prestigious annual show, which opened its doors for the first time in 1861.
