Catterline in Autumn

Apologies to Joan Eardley, famous painter of Catterline, whose beautiful oils of the village - notably Catterline in Winter - are well known.

I had been in Aberdeen for a late function, had very little sleep and got up early, thinking I'd catch the sunrise over the North Sea. But it was not to be as someone else had blocked me in the hotel car park and it took half an hour and the guidance of the hotel receptionist to wriggle my way out. I missed the sunrise.
