The Pantheon (and helicopter)

We are well and truly shattered after being up before dawn for our taxi to the airport, three hour flight, trek to the hotel and a five hour wander around some of Rome's sights! We have also spent our entire day's budget on a meal in a restaurant near the Trevi Fountain so we'll be on bread or pizza for the rest of our stay! The gnocchi and chocolate cake and ice cream were rather delicious though!

I can't upload all of my blips as the hotel wifi is too slow but hopefully this view of the ceiling of the Pantheon will suffice. There must have been some serious politicos around today as the police helicopter was buzzing around above us all afternoon and I managed to catch it crossing the 'window' in the Pantheon roof.

More info when we've come round a bit.....and got ourselves into race mode for the first orienteering event in the Villa Borghese Park at dusk tomorrow!
