Imperial Camel Corps

London is so full of surprises.

I'm down for a couple of operas and meeting up with various friends. We'd heard about a fabulous vegetarian food outlet (along the lines of the Whole Foods Market) but it was supposed to be near Embankment tube station.

No sign.
We even asked two very young police constables but they didn't have a clue either.

Do any of my blip friends have any idea of this place?

But in the gardens we came across this dramatic bronze, a memorial to the men of the Imperial Camel Corps, "British, Australian, New Zealand and Indian - who fell in action or died of wounds and disease in Egypt, Sinai And Palestine in 1916 - 1917 - 1918"
