Red Sun

Tomorrow many of my junior high school classes will be observed by the education center (I don't really know how to describe this in English, but it's a group of (highly respected and accomplished) former teachers that evaluate current teachers. My favorite JTE (Japanese Teacher of English) is being observed for an entire lesson of the text book. In my opinion it is a not a good way to judge teaching ability because teachers will plan very intensely for the lessons to be observed, waaaay more than they would for other lessons. I've been working with this JTE on this lesson plan for a few weeks now and finally the day has come. Anyway, I stayed behind to help iron out some last minute time issues. Despite going over the lesson plan and critiquing to no end, the education center decided last minute to force her to give the kids a quiz and survey at the end of class, taking 10 minutes of the 50 we have for class. It's absurd.

Anyway, I was at school until 6:30 preparing, so I was there to see the sun set. It was really cool. This picture doesn't do the color justice. The sun was a beautiful red and the clouds looked like steam coming out of the sun.
