Kiwi

Yipeeeee, we're in Townsville and nicely settled into the way of life.

Our kids have very recently put in this fab pool, which we have spent some time in this afternoon. Water temperature 28 deg, outside temperature in the early 30's . Then, beer o'clock followed.

Both Aidan (son) and his wife are true kiwi's but have made their life here in Townsville. They have numerous reminders of the kiwi life they left behind, and this Kiwi is one of them. The pool and reflections giving a cooling effect.

Both of them are off to tennis shortly, how they play in this heat is beyond me, but they love it and play three or four times a week. Club finals tonight.

Doug and I are shattered, we started our journey here at 1.45 am this morning, to drive the two hours to Christchurch airport, then flew to Brisbane, then a domestic flight up to Townsville. It's only 5 pm here, but NZ time it would be 8 pm. Early night for the olds.

We're on holiday and it feels great.
