Nickajack Lake TN Blue Heron

Today we headed back from Winchester TN to Atlanta GA for our flight back to Portland OR and HOME. Along the drive back to Atlanta we stopped at Nickajack Lake on the Tennessee River and enjoyed spotting some blue heron...actually quite a few:) This fella was quite intent on watching for fish from his rock perch. Nearby on the tall power towers were dozens of turkey vultures, so many that it was rather creepy. They were perched on every available cross bar.
