Sunrise, and The News

I can now reveal the news I've hinted at for awhile. I applied for, was offered, and have accepted the position as head girls' basketball coach at Oakland High School. Oakland is a small school of 275-300 kids about 150 miles south of here. This will bring a renewed challenge - it's been a few years since I coached the greatest game invented. It will be also a challenge as I'll live in Wilson for most of the season, but that will bring a source of many future blips. I plan on writing a blog along the way, so that's another thing. This will be a chance to work with many great kids, but three of them will be granddaughters Cora (junior on this year's team), Grace (class of 2018), and Fontelle (class of 2021). Good Lord, I'll be old then.
