Flashes of Beauty

Looked out the back bedroom this morning and saw this - the vapour trail pink from the rising sun.

Then, this afternoon, searching for a better blip, looked over the bridge on Holland Road and saw, streaking up Plantsbrook, a flash of turquoise - a kingfisher, I assume.

So - both things hard (for me) to get a good photo of, but both glimpses of utter beauty.
