Little spaces on the ground.

We, recently, had an attack of the tree bandit and 3 disappeared.
This shows one of them. The one on the right.

This gives an idea of the hole it left.

He did cite, as part of the job, adding a tree-stump rotting chemical, or something of that ilk.

He didn't/forgot. He also left a twig still attached to the trunk.

What the hell? It's worth a try.
