Rye Harbour Nature Reserve
Another beautiful day in South East England. We decided to go down to Rye Harbour in Sussex and have a walk around the Nature Reserve there and call in at the many bird hides there and see what was around.
Unfortunately at the height of the migration season there were not many birds on the pools and scrapes. A few waders dunlin, we think, and a couple of egrets, but I was expecting the water to be teeming with flottilas of duck, geese, waders of all sorts and descriptions, but they must have been on an away day elsewhere.
I'm loving this app for the iPhone - HDR3. Good for specific shots, such as this and where there is great contrast but the phone has to be still as it takes 3 shots and merges them automatically. Would be good to have the same facility on a DSLR rather than having to do it post production so to speak.
Never mind, it was a pleasant walk in lovely conditions followed by soup and a sausage sandwich back up in Rye afterwards.
