Battle of the yellow jackets.
This is just outside Bolton Town Hall, where I was dashing into for a weird and wonderful only in Bolton sort of meeting! The civic centre of Bolton is extraordinarily grand for the size of the town and the streets are still cobbled. A great centre for a pretty deprived area. This was such a lovely moment I overheard and then slighly snapped! This gorgeous rapid response paramedic was having to justify having a rest on the yellow lines outside the Town Hall having been riding around the outside market all afternoon. The Traffic warden was agitated because the Mayor of Bolton's car was due any minute and was trying to move her on. She said, "ah, but what if the Mayor is having chest pains ...would you have that on your conscience..?" It was all well humoured, but I think she won the moral battle of the yellow jacket authority! I loved her smile and spirit .
