Cormorant

Cycled out to the RSPB Reserve at Ham Wall for the first time in ages this morning; on the way, we spotted an egret in the field by the side of the road; of course, as soon as I got the camera out it flew off and, when I turned round tere was a heron on the riverbank opposite which took one look at me and flew in the opposite direction! At least this cormorant was going nowhere!

Not too many winter migrants have arrived as yet, so the Reserve was relatively quiet.

We normally cycle past the Tea Room on the way back , but decided we'd earnt a hot chocolate this morning.

Many thanks for the kind comments and stars for yesterday's rainbow. Off to see About Time this evening at the Strode Theatre.
