"Rumble at the river!"
This afternoon we were at Paul Brown stadium in downtown Cincinnati, home of the Cincinnati Bengals. But it wasnt the Bengals playing, it was Miami University Redhawks (Oxford, Ohio) against the University of Kentucky Wildcats. Our daughter, Laura, was playing in the Miami marching band. Miami isnt known for its football, to put it mildly, as the final score indicated - 42-0! They got off to a good start, shutting the Wildcats out for the first quarter, but then it was all down hill. I felt bad for them, as the Kentucky fans must have outnumbered us Miami supporters by at least 2-1. I also felt bad for the band, all dressed up in their uniforms on a hot, sunny afternoon! At least they can take their jackets off when they're in the stands. Unfortunately we were at the other end of the stadium to the Miami band during the game, but we were right across from the Kentucky band, so they were all we could hear!
