Visiting the Kuruanda rain forest by train and sky
For our last day in Northern Queensland we went on a train built in the 19th century at a great expense of lives and effort. The views were stunning. We left the Kuruanda village in the afternoon by skyrail. It was quite odd as we were in cable cars but instead of snow we had a superb view of the rain forest canopy. the Pacific coast was a tremendous sight as we passed the last range of mountain on our way to Cairns. Tomorrow we are catching an early plane to Sydney where we shall spend 4 nights.
