Secrets.
Oh my goodness the twins and I had such a lovely lovely day today. It finally happened that my one weekday a fortnight that I now have off fell in a school holiday. Just myself and the twins all day with no football club, kids party, work. Nothing to stop us going out and having fun.
First I took them swimming over at freshwater the holiday park just the other side of Bridport, it opens the pool to the public off season. We have been there a lot, started going just after they opened when the twins were small. Today the 3 of us got there just after it opened and had great fun. We squirted water, they went down slides, swam, splashed, laughed. Erin is actually quite a lot better than Jack and was swimming with no armbands by the end of our stay. So proud of them both for how well they do.
After about 2 hours in the pool we dried off and headed up to the restaurant for lunch. The weather was so nice and sunny we ate outside on the balcony over looking the bay. It was lovely. The swimming must have given them an appetite as the twins polished off an adult pizza plus chips between them.
Headed back towards lyme after that and stopped at westbay play park where this picture was taken. We had so much fun with swings, climbing and running around. These are great speakers, the twins were so funny running around trying to get the right ones to talk to each other. Whatever they were saying to each other must have been funny (or more likely rude) judging by the laughter.
Once back in Lyme we headed up town to get a few bits. Whilst in the post office Erin helped herself to a lotto slip and picked some numbers, she showed me in the next shop where a friend of mine decided that she was going to put those numbers on tomorrow night. Well then I had to as well because could you imagine if I didn't and she won!! As I told her I would be happy for them but bloody gutted!! So off we went to put on the numbers and of course then Jack had to have a go too. We have agreed to split it if we win as it's Mummies money but their picks. Fingers crossed as I never normally play.
The rest of our afternoon was spent crafting, we have made autumn stained glass (tissue paper) window hangers, autumn pictures and Halloween badges. Then after dinner we watched yet another Halloween film.
The children were just so good for me today and we all agreed how much nicer the day was when they did as they were asked and were well behaved and not fighting. I have loved having their company for the day and am so proud of their behaviour of late, they really are a joy to spend time with. Okay proud mushy Mummy blip over.
