If you go down to the park today....

On the way home from Milton Keynes this afternoon there was an incredible amount of traffic around the local park because of some huge event taking place.
It turns out that today was the day the Girl Guides have their picnic...

They were celebrating their Centenary - and even managed to find a 104 year old guide who joined the movement right from the start.
There were guides from all over the county, and they had come to the park to eat birthday cake as far as I could tell. Something was going on over by the bandstand, but this was as close as we got.
There didn't seem to be much else going on apart from a lot of recruitment tents dotted all over the place. I decided not to join because I didn't get any cake.

Or a cup of tea, come to that.

We left the park rather confused.
