The whole day was basically spent working. Prepraing presentations and reports in order to meet all the upcoming deadlines next week. I was relieved when my little cousin asked me to play a game with her to distract me from work a little bit.

In the evening I got ready to meet some friends for dinner. We made our way to a fancy restaurant along the river somewhere, where we enjoyed a really good meal. A 'foie gras' starter followed by a massive piece of Uruguaian steak (I felt like I ate almost the whole animal) with mashed potatoes. Very satisfied with the amount we had eaten, we decided to skip dessert and just enjoy a drink and chatting. Before we knew it, it had reached past 11, so we figured maybe it was time to consider maybe leaving the restaurant at some point. Though none of us were quite ready to go home yet, we also didn't want to miss the last buses/metros/trains to reach home. So after walking through Vieux Lyon (which somewhat dodgy at night) for a little bit, we all parted ways.

I was happy to arrive home and curl up in bed, smiling after a good night.

Also.... I booked my flight home today. Back on UK turf in 55 days. Can't wait!!
