With that aircraft flying high (view large) above XM569 I can just imagine that is what the cockpit section of this Vulcan is thinking.
Sorry XM569, you've got no wings, no Olympus engines, no tail, no fuel tanks and the bits you have got are corroded and not working.
But, we still love you and you are still the centre of attraction at the Jet Age Museum.
If anyone wants to visit we are open each weekend 10-4 but the last tour of the Vulcan cockpit is about 3.45 as a tour takes 10-15 minutes.
Closing end of November until early February when we will re-open continuing the 'preview opening' theme but over the winter more exhibits will be moved up from their various storage places around Gloucestershire.
Grand Opening is planned for Easter 2014. It's not in concrete but that's the plan.
