Thanks guys!

This is Rafi gathered with friends Lois,Owen,Will, Reece,Niall,Brad, Ellie and Olivia. Lois organised a sponsored walk in aid of Rafi on the 21st July. They had taken part in other fundraising events to raise money for Sheffield Children's Hospital where Rafi was treated from November until May, but wanted to raise some money that he could spend on himself. I thought is was such a lovely, caring thing to do.
At the time of the walk Rafi was still quite unwell and so we waited until now for him to be given the cheque ( a massive £1200). He thanked them and told them he loved them and said he was going to take them all out for a meal.
They all arrived at our house after school and we had a bit of a party. They were all so noisy (including Rafi)! I had a few tears when I was listening to them all chatting away excitedly,overwhelmed with how much Rafi has improved over the past few months. These same friends visited Rafi even when he was unable to respond to them in any way. They were there for him in his hour of need... true friends.
Thanks to all the people involved in the walk and to everyone who was kind enough to sponsor them. I'd like to think he'll spend the money wisely, but I'm not sure about that!!
