Training day

Soon there will be some changes made in the library. We're not supposed to sit down any more at a desk, but have to walk around most of the time. I am not sure how that will work out with so many people still coming to a desk with questions... However, the organization feels great need to change things and even provides a three day training to get us acquainted with a new way to work. Today's theme was 'how to cope with changes'.

Nothing much new to me though... For me it is always most important to help those that come to the library. This is more important than clearing away returned books or other tasks we're also required to do.

I did have a good time though. Did learn a couple of things about human behaviour towards change in the afternoon. And it's always nice to spend a day with colleagues you never even see otherwise, because they work in other branches.

Second day is in three weeks time. That day we will be told more about the actual changes in our work.
