Route 63

National Cycle Route 63 runs from Burton on Trent to Wisbech (or the other way round of course).

My wife and I cycled a section of this route from near March to Wisbech, just to "check it out."

HORRIBLE!!!!!

Where is the path? Look closely .... cycling along this section was absolute hell. Can you imagine getting a puncture along this route after hitting the millionth ditch/rut? Would anyone ever find and rescue you out here? (No chance). Even the tractors bump like hell down this track. Not much fun.

We made the most of it of course, but neither of us will ever do it again. We'll stick to the roads, thank you.

We've also tried a few of these so-called right of way/public paths around here too (for walking) .... they are a joke as well (in a similar condition).

P.S. Anyone know of any nice sections around the Wisbech area (and 25 miles round)?
