We drove a friend along logging roads towards the abandoned Mount Sicker copper mine. About 1.5 kilometers from the mine, the road became very rough, boulders, dried rivulets and a muffler. We parked the car and walked to the mine site and back to the car. Magnificent vistas of the Chemainus River valley. Quiet forest.
